12:12 PM: Melanesia sketchnotes
Remember when I went to Morocco w/ Leeann? The same sort of opportunity came up for me to visit Melanesia, a place I never had on my lists of places to visit and couldn't have placed on a map if you had asked. We sailed on a converted Russian research vessel between 11 different islands, one of which almost killed me.
Travel rarely has a single satisfying moral or moment that wraps the whole trip up in a neat package. In fact, for me it often takes years to fully assimilate all the experiences. But that's why I like it. For me, the whole journey, not the destination, really is the reward.
