so i totally missed the leonids last night, and it wasn't through lack of trying. first my artist's way group laid outside around 8:30 p.m. near the large tree swaying in the shadows, but because of the otherwise glorious moon, i didn't see one freaking shooting star! then i drove around the back roads in poway and ramona. while doing so, one of my poor prius' front tires got caught in a wash and it took me 20 minutes to get out (that's the closest i've ever been to getting stuck somewhere. i was starting to get worried). still no freaking shooting stars. so i called dan, who had expressed interest in seeing them and asked him if he had a secret weapon ('cause if anyone did, it would be him). but, no, he didn't. so i drove home and didn't see any freaking shooting stars.
then, this morning, jennifer says, "hey, did you see the meteor shower last night? we went to palomar & it was great!"
grrrrrr.......... *must.... control.... fist of ..... death!*
