so yesterday was interesting! i met w/ kathy brown to talk about her tulip research. kathy's the person who cares about adult education and technology training (and the person i hope will help me get into ucsd's cognitive science grad program). anyway, she says i got about a semester and a half's worth of discussion about activity systems. we also talked about the differences between coordination, cooperation & collaboration, which have a lot of meaning for me because of the garrett situation and the generate project.
later that day i teamed up with some calligraphers to crawl down to chula vista to attend a medieval art lecture by mark van stone, where i sketched a few interesting pieces. i left work at 3:30 p.m. and we were still late for the 6:30 p.m. lecture! this is one of the reasons i come into work late and leave late, so i can ignore the traffic. does anyone know why clovis became christian?
today is chock full of meetings. tedious, useless meetings, at that, except for the emotionally volatile one w/ the instructional development team later this afternoon. i've been trying to get the blogger archives working w/o success. jennifer has just twisted my hair into little swiss-miss buns on either side of my head. we'll see how long they last.
