finally, the iphone is here! well, it'll be here in june, anyway. fortunately, i have a long-standing policy of not being a macproduct guinea pig, waiting until the next version comes out. but the widgets make SO much more sense now. and i'm amazed to see interface elements directly from the "Multi-Touch Interaction Research" i saw earlier this year (especially maps & pix).
my main concerns: * it is a LOT of money. and i am still afraid of the cingular pricing plans on top of it. * do you sync via bluetooth, or does syncing happen through cingular (one of the things about carriers that drives me nuts) * will the calendar sync work? it -never- worked on my nano, which i half of why i bought the nano.
update: it occured to me while watching the keynote: if it uses wifi instead of cingular's network whenever possible, it is a brilliant pairing with metro wifi initiatives.
