i had to go back to bed after discovering the supreme court upheld congress' ban against late-term abortions with no exception for the health of the mother. late-term abortions are less than 1.5% of all abortions and they're -not- invoked lightly (but then, no abortion is).
but bush is pleased: "Today's decision affirms that the Constitution does not stand in the way of the people's representatives enacting laws reflecting the compassion and humanity of America."
the CONSTITUTION DOESN'T STAND IN THE WAY of making laws? dude, that's what it's SUPPOSED to do! if it's not in your way, you're doing it WRONG.
