or at least, since morocco. someday i hope to write more than a listing of events. someday.

events:
* white bird: hofesh shechter co, shen wei, daniel leveille, lectures down below

* morocco presentation: i've posted a few of my favorite morocco pix on facebook and on flickr until i get a chance to write about the trip. but the presentation went great!
* china design now w/ cecilia
* book arts group at reed
* trillium holiday sale (as a customer this year instead of a Board member)
* little things guardino
* foster indie mart
* edible exploration: swagat, apizza scholls, veggie pho on sandy, great dinner w/ k&t, perfecting a pizza crust, arleta library bakery cafe, exploring recipes in "ratio"
* holidays sales: handmadenw, secret society, bike craft, crafty wonderland, da vinci art fair, union rose
* writing group
* “look at all your neat things!” at alma

holidays:
* halloween sugar skulls
* sven’s 3anim8 birthday
* thanksgiving w/ mph family, dessert w/ carl & cecilia
* solstice walk on the butte: watched construction on new reservoir
* holiday parties (games & gifts w/ k&t, m5000, lindabill)
* catsitting arwen while michaelmas traveled to mt. vernon
* surprise xmas hits: a wimple (thanks, ann!) and salt (thanks, sven!). the JBL speaker that works with the iphone was also greatly appreciated (thanks, michaelmas!)
* nye: so sad to miss full moon, blue moon AND a partial eclipse! at least it stopped raining when we climbed the hill to toast the city at midnight. usually i stay up all night preparing for the new year, greet the dawn & collapse into bed; this year i went to bed immediately and got up to do a bike ride at dawn. lovely!

movies/media:

* caught up w/ lost w/ michaelmas (now starting alias). attempted millenium, season 2.

homework:
* dentist
* cleaned up garden for winter
* new cookware: calphalon unison (thanks, ann!) and i'm learning to work with a steel pan, too
* plantar fasciitis explains why i've been hobbling around for almost a year. judicious use of ice, stretching, heel inserts and ibuprofen has reduced the pain from 7-8 on a 10-point scale to 1-2. thank god. i hope it stays that way.
* biking every day despite cold, rain, weather -- all the way to 22 degrees! i even biked as far as reed college, which is important to me because it breaks the SE 39th barrier: if i can get to reed relatively painlessly, i can bike almost anywhere in SE. i got a flat tire on woodstock, though: after sven arrived only THEN realized i could have gotten it fixed at the bike gallery a block away. wake at the ebike store is still totally awesome. total miles this year: 732, more than all other years combined.
* mph are collaborating on a very exciting project. i hope it works out!
